Equipment

  • 1 Saucepan
  • 1 Milk frother (optional if you have a saucepan)

Ingredients

Dry latte mix

  • 1/2 cup beetroot powder (about 70 g)
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves

Latte drink

  • 8-10 oz milk
  • 1 tbsp dry pink latte mix
  • 1 tsp maple syrup or sweetener of choice optional
  • 1 pinch salt optional

Instructions

How to make the dry latte mix

  • Add the beetroot powder and dry spices to a medium-sized bowl. Mix carefully with spoon until thoroughly combined.
  • Scoop your latte mix into a jar. You may want to label it with the name and date so you don’t forget what’s in there.

How to make the perfect pink latte drink

  • Warm your milk of choice. If using a saucepan, add the milk to the pan. Whisk continually in a pan over medium heat until warmed through. Do not let burn. If using an electric frother, add the milk to frother, and let the milk heat up for about a minute before moving onto the next step.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of pink latte mix to the pan. Whisk until thoroughly incorporated. If using an electric frother, add your tablespoon of mix after the milk has heated up for about a minute.
  • Add maple syrup or sweetener of choice if desired (optional). Add a pinch of salt to boost the flavor (optional).
  • Pour into mug. Enjoy!

Notes

This latte tastes great with both dairy and non-dairy milk. If you prefer vegan options, oat milk makes for a creamy latte. If you love dairy, I recommend using whole milk for a full-bodied latte. My favorite milk to use is whole A2/A2 milk, which is creamy and delicious, but easier on sensitive stomachs.
