Holiday Season Self-Care Series

Can you believe it’s November already? It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving will soon be upon us and that December is just a few weeks away.

The holiday season is a joyful time, but it can also be a stressful time. I see coming to the end of the year as an invitation for us to reflect on the year that passed by and look ahead towards new opportunities in the future.

However, there are so many responsibilities that we have to take care of at the end of the year: finishing up projects at work, carefully budgeting our finances to cover holiday expenses (which may include working overtime), finding just the right gifts for loved ones, and attending family gatherings – just to name a few.

I believe that now more than ever it’s important to develop a plan to ensure that you’re taking care of your own needs first. Although this season is a time of giving, you cannot pour from an empty cup. Your own teapot has to be full before you can offer a drink to your neighbor.

I’ll be writing a 3-part self-care series, as my gift to you.

Every week, I will focus on a different aspect of care – mind, body, and spirit – and provide you with helpful resources.

I hope you’ll make time to look after yourself this season. Your body, mind, and spirit will thank you.
